A2 Music Video: Market Research

After deciding our target audience, the best way to get some initial ideas for our music video was to start with a survey.

Using a free online survey maker called "Zoomerang", we constructed a questionnaire that would enable us to understand popular conventions of a music video. Our questions allowed us to use a multiple choice answer format with tick boxes.

The questions covered subjects such as location, props, editing and pace. The survey was then sent via e-mail to people in our Windows Live contact lists. This was quick and easy, whilst reaching our target audience.

We will be notified on our Zoomerang account when people submit their answers. Not only will we know our audience's answers, but Zoomerang is capable of analysis which offers us elements such as: the most common answer.

The answers should provide us with our target audiences expectations of a music video. This is what our participants will see as they fill out the survey:
